Myths About Abs

A lot of people hear and think lots of things about their abdominal muscles, they dream of the six-pack, everybody's fallacy. Most of us want flatter abs, but as much as we try we just can't get it. Here are the facts about your abs.

People think that if they work the ab muscles that will burn the fat. These exercises will increase endurance and the size of your muscles, but not burn your belly fat. The only way to burn the body fat is cardio work-outs and reducing your caloric intake.

2. Ab Muscles are Different From Other Muscles in the Body. People often work their abs differently from other muscles in their body. Why? Because of misinformation. The correct way to do it is weight training in the abdominal area 2-3 times a week then rest in between. Then use exercises to target different areas of the abs.

3. High Repetitions Lead to Ab Strength. People always peform multiple, multiple, and even more multiple reps to get that six-pack. Just like other muscles in your body your abs need rest, and a lot of people don't realize this. People think they aren't working their abs hard enough, mainly because of improper form.
