If you have been sedentary for a long period of time and have a lot of weight to lose, starting an exercise regime can seem like an impossible task. The more weight you carry the more barriers to entry one faces when starting an exercise regime, which can range anywhere from difficulty with full range of motion to having difficulty finding the correct fitting exercise clothes.
Don't let these simple road blocks stop you from starting on your path to healthy living by dieting and exercising. Research suggests that the prime component of keeping off the weight is by exercising not simply just dieting. Think of these hurdles as challenges, and remember that the first step is always the hardest.
It's also important to find activities that work for you. You don't have to run marathons to help fight the flab, all you need to do is keep moving on a daily basis, and gradually your fitness level will improve. As the weight melts off you will be able to do more and more and more! So remember to take baby steps and to keep in mind that every little step counts!
To start off, simple begin walking! Walking is one of the best and simplest weight-bearing exercises one can do. You could also try dancing which can make exercising more fun and less monotonous!
